Does one need any more proof that Canada’s ambitious Immigration plans work?
Well, here you go.
It appears that the COVID-19 pandemic could not shrink the total number of invitations being allotted for candidates to apply for immigration.
A total of 28,450 Express Entry candidates were issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the third quarter of 2020. This is more ITAs than any previous quarter since the application management system launched in January, 2015!
It also brings the number of ITAs issued this year to a record high of 78,350. Even in the second quarter of 2020 during the first wave of COVID, Canada still issued 27,300 ITAs which hasn’t been seen in one quarter since Q4, 2018.
A total of 4,500 invitations went to Express Entry candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of 471. The CRS score requirement is the same as the previous Express Entry draw held on September 30th.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has been holding draws every fortnight since September 2 inviting at least 4,200 applicants. The immigration department has never had a draw of this size since February.
Our presence in Canada over the past decade has been very enriching to us as well. These immigration plans do not surprise us as Canadian Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Ministers have always upheld their need for foreign nationals to help develop their economy as the primary objective in their mandates, same goes for Mr. Marco Mendicino (current Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Minister of Canada).
