Citizenship Applications

  • You can apply for Canadian Citizenship once you have stayed in the country for at least 3 out of the 5 years given as a Permanent Resident holder. It is a great benefit provided by the Canadian government, unlike any other country.

You must fulfill specific requirements in order to be eligible to become a Canadian citizen, such as:

  • You must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
  • For at least three of the previous five years, you had to have submitted your taxes.
  • English or French proficiency is required.
  • You must pass a citizenship exam to prove that you are familiar with Canada's principles.
  • You can submit an application for Canadian citizenship once you've satisfied the eligibility conditions. An application, necessary paperwork, and a fee must all be submitted as part of the application procedure. You will be invited to a citizenship ceremony if your application is accepted, where you will take the Oath of Citizenship and receive your citizenship certificate.
